Daylight Savings Time

I spent the afternoon with one of our larger clients yesterday afternoon. Although we have their website and intranet site on linux, most of their workstations and staff computers are on Windows OS.
I soon realized that this is a pretty intense deadline for IT people. If you or any of your clients use Windows OS,
you really might want to double check to make sure the DST patches are installed properly. Visit Microsoft's Support Center
If you use Outlook or any of their calendars, here is Microsoft's page: Prepare Outlook calendar items for daylight saving time changes in 2007
Apple has provided updates for the latest Daylight Saving Time (DST) and time zone information as of January 8, 2007. Generally, this is updated automatically, however to be safe you might want to visit /Apple/Support/Downloads page to make sure you have the DST updates.
For Linux and FreeBSD users, usually everyone receives the udates automatically. If you don't, we highly recommend that your double check you settings. One page that verifies the actually settings can be found here.
Enjoy more daylight next week, and update now, so you don't have any headaches on Monday!
